Michael Rupp appointed new Head of Tax Liechtenstein/Eastern Switzerland

Michael Rupp will join the firm as a partner on 1 January 2022 as Head of Tax in Liechtenstein and Eastern Switzerland.

Michael Rupp completed his qualification as a Swiss certified tax expert in 2008 and has since completed various training courses and study programmes in the area of tax and leadership at the University of St. Gallen and the University of Zurich. He has held a number of roles during his career, beginning with a position as a tax clerk at a tax firm in the canton of St. Gallen. His next role was in Zug in the tax department of one of the Big Four. After this, he spent several years at ReviTrust AG, now Grant Thornton AG, in Schaan. In 2009 he joined a listed international industrial company based near Lake Zurich with major subsidiaries in Liechtenstein. This saw him hold a range of managerial roles in the area of tax, most recently as Deputy of Head of Group Tax. Since the end of 2018, Michael Rupp has been working as a tax auditor for special projects at the cantonal tax office in Graubünden. He has also assisted in training programmes for trustees as an audit expert since 2013. Michael Rupp has firm roots in the Rhine Valley/Liechtenstein area, something which extends to both his personal and professional life.
