Professional experience
Rainer Marxer has 20 years’ experience in trusts and auditing, acquired from his activities with a trust company, an international auditing company and at ReviTrust Grant Thornton. He was instrumental in setting up the Tax and Advisory Division in Liechtenstein.
Rainer Marxer is frequently engaged by the Liechtenstein Government as an expert in tax and auditing matters and has wide-ranging experience in these fields at both national and international level. He also lectures at the University of Liechtenstein.
Professional qualifications and memberships
Rainer Marxer holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) and is a certified accountant. He is an auditing expert and registered accountant in Liechtenstein, recognised by the Swiss Federal Audit Oversight Authority (FAOA). In addition, he holds specialist law licences for the auditing of banks, investment undertakings and funds, insurance companies as well as company pension schemes in Liechtenstein.
Rainer Marxer was a board member of EXPERTsuisse (Graubünden / Liechtenstein section), President of the Liechtenstein Association of Auditors and Chairman of the Examination Commission of Liechtenstein Trustees.
